CPISP 2018 begins receiving applications
Manama : The Crown Prince International Scholarships Programme (CPISP) has begun receiving online applications from secondary school graduates for CPISP 2018 scholarships. It will go on until March 23.
Applicants who meet the qualification criteria (Bahraini citizenship, currently enrolled in the 11th grade, and GPA rating of 97% or above) are invited by the CPISP to take a series of qualifying tests to assess their English proficiency and critical reasoning abilities. A minimum of 60 students including 20 schoolboys and 20 schoolgirls from public schools as well as 10 schoolgirls and 10 schoolboys from private schools will then be selected as scholarship candidates based on their GPA ratings and results of the qualifying tests.
Candidates will undergo various training and educational workshops over the summer and throughout the academic year, before the selection of the final recipients. The CPISP works in cooperation with local institutions, arranging for the candidates to take part in critical thinking and leadership training, and offers foundation courses to prepare students for the IELTS and SAT exams.
Candidates also receive personality and career path assessment, take part in an academic writing course, and complete a Level 3 certificate in Team Leading from the Chartered Management Institute, as well as attend guest lectures on various topics related to their academic and career plans, and personal development. Training concludes with a specially organized Team Building Day, and culminates with a Candidate Recognition Ceremony to honor all candidates for completing the selection process requirements.
The CPISP scholarship final winners will be announced in March 2018.
