National emergency teams meeting held

National emergency teams from the Interior Ministry, Health Ministry and Bahrain Defense Force Royal Medical Services held a meeting yesterday.
The Supreme Council for Health (SCH)'s Chairman, Lt-General Dr. Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, presided over the meeting in the presence of Dr. Aisha Buanq, Undersecretary of Health Ministry, and other representatives.
Dr. Shaikh Mohammed stressed the recent developments in the region require more preparation, readiness and coordination concerned with emergencies, especially in the three major government hospitals- Salmaniya Medical Complex, BDF Military Hospital and King Hamad University Hospital King Hamad.
The minister stressed that these preparations come as part of precautions taken by all ministries and agencies in the Kingdom under the directives of the wise leadership.
The Chairman assessed the level of awareness and response to emergencies and disasters, and evaluated health authorities’ plans to deal with emergencies, as well as raising the level of readiness and response to disasters and emergencies.
The Chairman also called for aid to be distributed to mosques in all governorates of the Kingdom and urged the speedy response from the three hospitals to receive and treat emergency cases.
He also directed all medical and nursing staff to be fully prepared.
During the meeting, Interior Ministry’s Director of Public Relations, Hamad Al Khayat gave a presentation on the ministry’s plan regarding the protection of all citizens and residents and the protection of mosques.
