23 arrested for violating Bahrain residency rules
Manama : Assistant Undersecretary for Ports, Search and Follow-up stated on Sunday that 23 violators of residency rules were arrested during an inspection by the Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs (NPRA) in cooperation with authorities concerned at the beginning of this week.
The inspection was part of a plan to check illegal workers through campaigns in association with the Labour Market Regulatory Authority and the governorates.
The Undersecretary affirmed the importance of joint efforts, especially the cooperation of citizens, to fight the problems caused by illegal workers. He warned of legal action against those who helped or employed illegal workers.
