Thorkhill steals the show

Manama : Third favourite Thorkhill Star owned by Al Nasseriyeh, trained by Allan Smith and ridden by Abdulla Faisal won the richest race for The Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa Cup for imported three year olds and upwards over 1,800 metres and worth BD8,000 by a short head yesterday in the eleventh meeting of the season yesterday at the Rashid Equestrian and Horse Racing Club in Sakhir.

Second place went to Chopin owned by Maher Ebrahim Lutfalla, trained by Abdulla Kuwaiti and ridden by Alberto Sanna, followed in third place a length and three quarters by Proposed owned by Ramadhan Stable, trained by Jaber Ramadhan and ridden by Stevie Donohoe, while a further three quarter of a length was Al Mukhdam owned by Mohammed Abdul Raheem Jassmi, trained by Fawzi Nass and ridden by Hussain Makki.
