Man accused of murder
Manama : The closing arguments in the case of a Bahraini man accused of murdering another national will be submitted before the court on November 16.
The defendant reportedly stabbed the victim several times on the chest on March 9, 2016 in Muharraq.
He had committed the crime to avenge the death of his cousin who was a friend of the victim, according to court files.
During interrogations, a friend of the alleged killer said that Bahraini man’s cousin died while he was using drugs with the alleged murderer.
However the defendant told prosecutors that he had committed the crime in self defence. “He punched me several times. In order to defend myself, I had to stab him,” the defendant said.
