Bahrain probes unlicensed children's centre

Manama : Chief Prosecutor for Ministries and Governmental Directorates, Advocate General Mamdouh Al Maawda, said the Public Prosecution received a complaint from the Ministry of Labour and Social Development informing that a privately-run centre was accommodating and taking care of handicapped and autistic children without obtaining the proper official licensing.

The violating centre was not properly equipped to serve children with special needs nor to provide them with the requisite welfare conditions or care.

Following the ministry's complaint, the Public Prosecution conducted its investigations to take the necessary legal actions.
