Awan CC win over Niazi CC by 62 runs
Manama: Awan CC defeated Niazi CC by 62 runs in the latest matches of the Sprite sponsored BCL-CBA Division Premier League 25 Overs Tournament at the Busaiteen Grounds in Muharraq.
Batting first, Awan CC were bowled out for 171 with Ali (55) top scoring and Junaid (six for 31) the best of the bowlers, while Niazi in reply were bowled out for just 109, with the main resistance from Iqbal (30) and Faisal (five for 14) being the pick of the bowlers.
In another match, R.K.C.T crushed ESOQ by 149 runs despite being dismissed for 201 with Guru (92) top scoring and Karamath (two for 37) returning the best bowling figures, then ESOQ were bowled out for a paltry 52 thanks to a fine bowling spell by Ashwin (five for 27).
Other score: Alpha Fire Safety 203/8 in 25 overs (Adnan 55, Fiaz 54, Sham 3/30) bt Bahrain Indians 156/9 in 25 overs (Joji 43, Jaseer 27, Omran 3/24) by 47 runs.
