Bahrain to host premiere BRAVE show

Manama : KHK MMA has launched its new fight promotion Brave Combat Federation premiere BRAVE show at Khalifa Sports City on September 23, under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Founder of KHK MMA Organisation.

In the main event of this fight card, biggest star of MMA in the Middle East, Mohammad Fakhreddine (8-1) will make his 10th appearance in a cage as he steps into a new arena to take on an undefeated Brazilian Thiago Vieira (8-0).

The bout signals the promotions intentions to bring middle-eastern MMA to the world stage and simultaneously bring the world’s top fighters to the Middle East. 

The co-main event sees the return of Eldar Eldarov (7-1) as he looks to continue a winning streak, which dates back to 2009. His opponent is Peter Queally (8-2), an in-form Irish fighter, who hails from John Kavannagh’s SBG gym and trains with many high profile fighters there such as Conor Mcgregor.

These two fights signal a shift towards the international arena, by pitting the best middle-eastern based fighters against international talent from across the globe.

It has also been revealed that Jordanian young talent Abdulkareem Al Selwady, former Desert Force champion will be joining the main card of this event in a much anticipated bout against Iraq's Rami Aziz. Two of the top featherweight talents in the region will square off at the first ever Brave event, but this time in the lightweight division.

Brave officials are building up a super exciting list of bouts, as they recruit and gather a pool of the best regional and international talents. Names such as UFC Veteran Massio Fullen and Ahmed Amir are also rumored to take part of this unique.

As we get closer to the day (23-9-2016) more and more news and updates will be released to the public. One thing is guaranteed, Bahrain will witness a historical fight week as all these exceptional talent start landing in the Kingdom.
