Bahraini gamer finishes second

ManamaBahraini gamer Sayed Hashim “Tekken Master” Ahmed finished runner up at an international gaming competition.

Despite his loss in the final game, Ahmed was praised for the incredible challenge he posed to Dominique “Sonic Fox” McLean in the Mortal Kombat XL tournament at Evo 2016.

Over the years McLean had amassed a reputation for being undefeated at the game and beating his opponents with ease, so it was a surprise when Ahmed won the first round of the grand finals.

“What ‘Tekken Master’ did was nothing short of amazing. What he did at the finals was something only a few could achieve. He put Sonic Fox in danger when he won the second match in finals. Yes, Sonic Fox emerged victorious but after a very stressful blow-to-blow match that made Tekken Master a name to be considered in this game’s upcoming tournaments,” ES Middle East stated.

“The seventh nation to grab a podium spot at Evolution 2016 was Bahrain with Tekken Master as their star player in Mortal Kombat X. Although Tekken Master couldn’t strike down Sonic Fox, he did grab an impressive second place finish to put Bahrain onto the standings,” ESPN stated.

“Tekken Master is clearly top-tier talent to make it to top 8 at the biggest fighting game tournament on the planet, but I had no idea of just how smart his decision-making was,” Techraptor stated.

For Mclean, this was his third title in three years following his win last year and in 2014.
