Major parking and landscaping plans in Manama
Manama : Plans regarding landscaping of open spaces and parking lots for citizens in Manama Souq and and Al Gufool areas were discussed yesterday.
Present at the meeting were Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Minister Essam Khalaf, MP Ahmed Abdulwahid Qarata, Municipal Affairs undersecretary Dr Nabil Mohammed Abulfatah, Capital Governorate General Director Shaikh Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Assistant Undersecretary for Roads Huda Fakhro and several other ministry officials.
Mr Khalaf stated that the Sanitary Engineering and Maintenance Affairs Directorate was undertaking regular maintenance at Imam Al Hussain Street, which would be intensified later on.
The minister also directed officials to carry out inspections at the second constituency in the Capital Governorate to determine people’s requirement, in terms of services provided by the ministry.
