Manners clinches BTA Junior Tennis title
Manama : Tristan Manners defeated Hiroki Wakamatsu 5-3 games to clinch the 12 years and under title on the concluding day of the Bahrain Tennis Academy (BTA) Junior Tennis Tournament at the Dilmun Sports Club in Saar.
In the semi-finals, Tristan beat Raj Singh 5-3, while Hiroki received a walkover from Essa Al Qattan.
The 14 years and under title went to Avneet Singh 6-3, 6-3 against Freddie Salmon as both players traded powerful return shots that resulted in some exciting points before Avneet prevailed.
BTA and Tournament Director, Dan Barrie said, “Once again Bahrain’s junior players represented themselves well and admirably displaying good sportsmanship throughout the tournament.”
