Sewage overflow annoys residents

Residents of Gudaibiya have complained of overflow of sewerage water near Kannada Sangha.
This problem started a week back, but it has not come to the notice of the authorities, as the persons concerned have not filed any complaint, said Naveen, one of the residents.
He said a hotel located near the Kannada Sangha primarily contributes to the overflow of sewerage. But it has not taken any initiative to solve the problem, putting others in deep inconvenience, Naveen said.
“Thousands of people travel through this road everyday. They have no other option, but to walk through this filthy water,” he said.
Another resident, Ashton, said a lot of students come to the Kannada Sangh to attend tuition classes. “They had complained of the unbearable stench. We also fear outbreak of diseases,” he said, requesting authorities to find a permanent solution for this.
