Bowen, Brightmore win Porsche Monday Madness Golf series

Manama: Jamie Bowen and playing partner Mike Brightmore (31 points) won week two of the new six-week Porsche Monday Madness Night Golf Series at the Royal Golf Club.

There was a four-way battle for second place with a count back needed to separate the pairings who also shot 33.

Rob Mills and Adrian Morgan were declared runners up while the duo of Rob Lane and Nils Berge came third after a six hole and three hole play-off respectively.

Ali Al Hakam and Paul Close also won prizes for coming nearest to the pin on holes 12 and 16 respectively.

Over 30 players took part in the two player Better Ball tournament which was played under floodlights on the back 9 holes of the challenging Montgomerie championship course. Porsche branded flags and models of the Porsche Panamera S and Porsche Macan S were displayed on the golf course for the duration of the competition.

The evening was rounded off with a prize presentation ceremony in the Club’s Members’ Lounge where Philip Waine, the Royal Golf Club’s Director of Golf, was on hand to present the prizes on behalf of Porsche Centre Bahrain.
