Raffii eighth in second race

Manama. Team Bahrain’s Raed Raffii finished eighth in race two of round three in the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Middle East at the Losail International Circuit in Qatar. The young Bahraini is now at sixth in the overall standings with six races remaining.

Al Nabooda Racing’s Clemens Schmid won for the second time in as many days after leading from start to finish giving the UAE resident an even larger lead at the top of standings.

Second place went to Kuwaiti star and defending champion Zaid Ashkanani who is 10 points behind Schmid, with Fahad Algosaibi at third spot followed by Saeed Al Mehairi fourth and teammate Shaikh Hasher Al Maktoum fifth.

Remaining schedule: Round Four: Losail International Circuit, Qatar. February 5/6. Round Five: Dubai Autodrome, UAE, February 27/28. Round Six: Bahrain International Circuit, April 18/19.
