  • Royal Foundation, Red Crescent Boost Relief
  • Expands Joint Humanitarian Efforts

The Acting Secretary-General of the Royal Humanitarian Foundation, Engineer Ibrahim Delhan Al Doseri, received Mubarak Al Hadi, Secretary-General of the Bahrain Red Crescent Society, and Adel Al Jarr, Assistant Secretary-General for Committee Affairs and board member of the society, to discuss ways to strengthen cooperation and coordination between the two organisations.

The two sides praised the strong support for humanitarian work in Bahrain from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of Bahrain, noting the Kingdom’s prominent international standing in the humanitarian field through its initiatives and continued contributions to providing relief and assistance to those affected and in need around the world.

They said these efforts have strengthened Bahrain’s reputation as a leading model of humanitarian giving and solidarity.

The two sides reviewed major relief projects and shipments carried out since the Royal Humanitarian Foundation began its relief work in 2009, as well as joint efforts to deliver humanitarian and relief assistance to people affected by conflicts and natural disasters, including floods and earthquakes, in several countries.

These countries included the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the Lebanese Republic, the Federal Republic of Somalia, the Republic of the Philippines, the Republic of Türkiye, the Republic of Nepal and the State of Palestine, along with other brotherly and friendly countries affected by natural disasters.

The efforts reflect Bahrain’s firm commitment to continuing its humanitarian mission toward brotherly and friendly peoples, they said.

The two sides also discussed the current humanitarian situation in brotherly Arab countries, including the State of Palestine, particularly the Gaza Strip, as well as the Syrian Arab Republic and the Republic of Sudan.

Engineer Ibrahim Delhan Al Doseri said the Bahrain Red Crescent Society is an important strategic partner in coordinating and cooperating on international relief efforts. He noted that the society has more than 55 years of experience providing humanitarian assistance inside and outside Bahrain.
