HM King Restructures TRA Board with New Leadership
His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa has issued Decree (40) of 2026 restructuring the Board of Directors of the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA).
The decree was issued based on a proposal by the Prime Minister and following the approval of the Cabinet.
Under the new decree, Mona Al Sayed Ali Al Hashemi has been appointed Chairperson of the Board.
The new Board members are:
- Mona Al Sayed Ali Al Hashemi – Chairperson
- Major-General Shaikh Hamad bin Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa – Member
- Colonel Sabah Ali Al Binali – Member
- Aamal Ahmed Al Abbasi – Member
- Musaab Mohammed Ahmed – Member
The decree stipulates that the Board members will serve a four-year term.
It also states that the Prime Minister shall implement the provisions of the decree, which takes effect from the date of its issuance and will be published in the Official Gazette.
