HRH Crown Prince Commends Outgoing UK Ambassador

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, received outgoing UK Ambassador to Bahrain His Excellency Alistair Long at Al Qudaibiya Palace today, in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Minister of the Prime Minister’s Court, and His Excellency Sheikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy.

During the meeting, His Royal Highness highlighted the continued growth of the longstanding Bahrain-UK partnership, supported by strategic cooperation and agreements between the two countries, including the Comprehensive Agreement for Security Integration and Prosperity.

His Royal Highness affirmed the shared commitment to expanding bilateral cooperation and coordination across various fields, creating new opportunities that serve mutual interests and aspirations. He also praised Ambassador Long’s efforts in strengthening relations between Bahrain and the United Kingdom and wished him success in his future responsibilities.

His Royal Highness further underscored the strength of Bahrain-UK relations and their important role in supporting regional security, stability and development, including efforts alongside allied and friendly nations to address threats and enhance collective security.

The meeting also covered regional and international developments, as well as issues of mutual interest.

The meeting was attended by His Excellency Hamad bin Faisal Al-Maliki, Minister of Cabinet Affairs, along with several senior officials.
