Bahrain Imports BD111m of Goods from India

Bahrain imported BD111.19 million worth of goods from India during the first five months of 2026, with shipments weighing almost 282 million kilograms, new figures show.

Alumina was the largest import by both value and weight. Bahrain bought BD11.86 million worth of the raw material used in aluminium production, with shipments exceeding 67.2 million kilograms.

Unwrought aluminium ranked third, with imports valued at BD6.16 million and weighing 4.87 million kilograms. Aluminium wire followed closely at BD6.12 million, with shipments totalling 4.74 million kilograms.

Semi-finished iron and steel products were worth BD5.14 million and weighed 33.12 million kilograms.

Frozen boneless beef followed, with imports valued at about BD4.15 million and weighing more than 2.08 million kilograms.

Cast-iron pipes and tubes accounted for a further BD3.19 million, with shipments weighing 14.59 million kilograms.

Gold jewellery stood out for its high value relative to its weight, with imports worth BD1.86 million but weighing just 46 kilograms.

Pharmaceutical products were valued at BD1.77 million and weighed 90,500 kilograms, while private cars with engines between 1,501cc and 3,000cc accounted for about BD1.56 million and 364,000 kilograms.
