Bahrain Fall to Philippines in Straight Sets
Second defeat leaves U18 side on brink of elimination

Bahrain's under-18 boys' volleyball team suffered a second consecutive defeat at the Asian Championship in Haikou, China, going down 3-1 to the Philippines in Pool B on Monday.
The Philippines edged the opener 25-22, before Bahrain responded sharply to take the second 25-13. The Filipinos regained control with a narrow 25-23 third set win, then sealed the match 25-15 in the fourth.
The loss follows a 3-1 opening defeat to India. Bahrain now faces Iran in a must-win final group match, only the top two sides advance to the quarter-finals.
With India and the Philippines both having beaten Bahrain, only a win over Iran can keep their knockout hopes alive.
