The Bahrain Red Crescent Society (BRCS) has launched a two-week summer camp for young men and women aged 16 to 21, aimed at developing leadership and personal skills while promoting humanitarian values and volunteerism. Held at the Society’s headquarters until July 23, the programme combines practical workshops, interactive lectures and training activities focused on preparing participants for community service.
The camp features sessions led by specialists covering leadership, teamwork, first aid, emergency response, communication and public speaking, alongside health, environmental protection and recycling. It opened with a workshop on mental health, proper nutrition and healthy lifestyles, highlighting the importance of psychological wellbeing, resilience and healthy living among young people.
BRCS said the initiative is part of its ongoing efforts to nurture a generation of informed and capable youth who can actively contribute to their communities. Participants will also learn about the principles of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, gaining the knowledge and skills needed to support humanitarian action and respond effectively in different situations.
