LMRA Digitises Labour Supply Agency Licence Cancellation Service

The Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) has upgraded its labour supply agency licence cancellation service as part of the government's ongoing efforts to improve public services and accelerate digital transformation.

The enhanced service allows licence holders to automatically cancel their labour supply agency licence once their commercial registration is cancelled by the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, eliminating the need to submit supporting documents.

With the service now fully digitised, processing time has been reduced from two working days to an immediate automated procedure. The upgrade also standardises service information across all channels, making the process more efficient and providing users with a simpler and more seamless experience.

Ahmed Ibrahim Al Aradi, LMRA Deputy Chief Executive for Services and Business Affairs, said the initiative reflects the authority's commitment to adopting innovative digital solutions that streamline procedures, improve service efficiency and enhance the customer experience.

He added that the upgraded service is part of LMRA's continuous efforts to improve service quality, reduce the time and effort required by beneficiaries, and strengthen the effectiveness of its operational framework.

The initiative forms part of the government's wider programme to develop and re-engineer public services. More than 1,300 government services have been documented, translated and published, while around 800 services have been redesigned and improved across various government entities.

These enhancements have been driven by feedback received through the national suggestions and complaints system, Tawasul, investor feedback and government secret shopper reports. The programme has also introduced service guides and service level agreements to improve efficiency, raise the quality of government services, enhance the user experience and support Bahrain's digital transformation agenda.
