Jerusalem: Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar confirmed on Tuesday that the next round of diplomatic talks between Israel and Lebanon is scheduled to take place next week in Rome, Italy.
The upcoming sessions are aimed at building further momentum following a historic framework agreement that was reached less than two weeks ago by Israel, Lebanon, and the United States.
Saar shared the details of the upcoming European meetings during a joint press conference in Jerusalem. The announcement was made alongside his visiting German counterpart, Johann Wadephul.
In his statement, Saar also addressed the underlying regional context of the engagement. He explicitly emphasized that Israel has no territorial ambitions in Lebanon as the nations move forward with negotiations.
