King’s Royal Directive Revives Muharraq’s Heritage and Identity, Says Governor

The Governor of Muharraq, Salman bin Isa bin Hindi Al Mannai, has extended his deepest gratitude to His Majesty the King of Bahrain for the royal directive to develop Muharraq City, describing it as a transformative national initiative that revives the city’s historical identity while enhancing its future development.

The Governor said the royal order reflects a visionary approach to preserving Muharraq’s unique architectural and cultural heritage, ensuring its historical legacy is protected for future generations. At the same time, he noted that the project aims to significantly improve the quality of life in line with Bahrain’s broader national development journey.

He also highlighted the close follow-up of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, stating that the project’s implementation demonstrates high efficiency, precision, and strong commitment to timelines. According to him, the coordination between government entities reflects a model of institutional integration and effective governance.

The Governor praised the efforts of the Minister of Finance and National Economy for his continuous oversight and support in ensuring the project proceeds according to the highest standards. He also commended the Minister of Housing and Urban Planning for her active role in managing and advancing the development plan, as well as the Ministry of Works and its engineering teams for their professionalism and technical expertise in executing major national projects.

He added that field monitoring confirms work is progressing according to schedule with notable accuracy and professionalism, reinforcing confidence in the project’s successful completion.
