Ministry of Interior Arrests Individual for Filming Police at Security Checkpoint
The Ministry of Interior announced that the General Directorate of Anti-Corruption and Economic and Electronic Security has arrested an Asian national, aged 29, following the misuse of social media platforms.
The individual recorded detailed footage of police forces performing their duties at a security checkpoint and published the video clip on his social media accounts, an act that constitutes a legal violation.
The Directorate confirmed that the prescribed legal measures have been taken against the aforementioned individual, preparatory to referring the case to the Public Prosecution.
The authority urged all members of the public to adhere strictly to rules and regulations, and to exercise responsibility when utilizing social media platforms.
