Bahrain Paralympic Team Heads to Tunisia for Grand Prix 2026

The Bahrain Paralympic Committee delegation has departed for Tunisia to participate in the Tunis International Para Athletics Meeting – Grand Prix 2026, which will take place from June 11 to 20.
The competition is set to bring together top para-athletes from around the world and serves as an important platform for athletes preparing for upcoming international championships and major sporting events.
The Bahraini delegation is headed by Jassim Al Bardoli, while Hussein Al Aswad serves as team administrator. The technical staff includes coaches Emad Abdullah Murad, Ahmed Abbas Mishaim, Hussein Ali Hussein Darbas, Ali Ahmed Al Ghazal and Musa Hassan Ahmed.
Representing Bahrain at the event are athletes Saad Al Maas, Mohammed Mahdi Al Moallem, Mohammed Jassim Nasser, Elias Salman Ahmed, Hussein Abdulaziz Mohammed, Ahmed Nader Noah, Nassar Ali Al Waqza and Mohammed Al Haddar. Unified athletes Abbas Waheed Khamees and Hussein Mirza Mishaim will also compete as part of the national delegation.
Ali Mohammed Al Majed, Secretary-General of the Bahrain Paralympic Committee, said the participation reflects the committee’s commitment to strengthening Bahrain’s presence in international competitions and preparing athletes to compete at the highest levels.
He noted that the committee continues to provide comprehensive technical and administrative support to national teams, helping athletes enhance their performance and achieve stronger results on the international stage.
Al Majed described the Tunis Grand Prix as a key event on the para-athletics calendar, offering valuable opportunities for athletes to gain competitive experience, refine their skills and improve their readiness for future competitions.
He expressed confidence in the Bahraini delegation’s ability to deliver strong performances and further showcase the Kingdom’s growing achievements in para-sports.
