Emirates has announced that it will broadcast every match of the FIFA World Cup 26™ live onboard its flights through Sport 24, the airline’s dedicated live sports channel available on its award-winning ice inflight entertainment system.

From the tournament’s opening ceremony in Mexico to the final match in the United States on July 19, passengers travelling with Emirates will be able to follow every moment of the world’s most-watched football competition while in the air.

The airline said the initiative aims to ensure football fans do not miss any of the action, allowing customers to watch matches live at 40,000 feet, regardless of where they are travelling. The service will enable passengers to enjoy goals, celebrations and key tournament moments throughout the competition.

To help travellers plan their viewing, the complete FIFA World Cup 26™ broadcast schedule is featured in the June edition of the airline’s ice magazine.

Live television channels, including Sport 24 and Sport 24 Extra, are available on most Emirates aircraft, although availability may vary depending on the aircraft type and route.

In addition to onboard broadcasts, Emirates said FIFA World Cup 26™ matches will also be shown in its lounges across Dubai whenever possible, allowing customers to stay connected to the tournament before their flights.

Beyond football, Emirates will continue to offer extensive live sports coverage throughout the summer. Basketball fans can watch the NBA Finals on Sport 24 and Sport 24 Extra until June 20, while other major sporting events scheduled for live coverage include the Canada Sail Grand Prix in Halifax on June 20–21, the Formula 1® Belgian Grand Prix on July 19 and the Formula 1® Hungarian Grand Prix on July 26.

The airline said the expanded sports offering reflects its commitment to enhancing the travel experience and keeping passengers connected to major global sporting events wherever they are in the world.
