Bahrain’s payment of arrears and financial contributions to the UN
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs would like to clarify in regards to the payment of arrears and financial contributions of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United Nations.
The Kingdom of Bahrain is fully committed to pay its financial contributions to the United Nations budget since joining the UN, in line with its commitment to the objectives and principles of the UN Charter.
The ministry would also like to clarify that there is no decision issued by the UN General Assembly in this regard, which is the authority responsible for the implementation of Article (19) of the UN Charter related to the right of UN member states to vote in the case of the late payment of financial contributions by the member states of the UN.
The Kingdom of Bahrain has paid all of its financial obligations to the international organization and its main bodies.
