Manama-London Talks Focus on Security, Cooperation and Hormuz
Foreign Minister Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani received UK Chargé d’Affaires Simon Martin in Manama. The two sides discussed ways to further strengthen Bahrain-UK relations.
The meeting reviewed bilateral cooperation under existing agreements, including the Comprehensive Security Integration and Prosperity Agreement, focusing on expanding cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
The officials also discussed coordination through their membership of the United Nations Security Council, along with the latest regional and international developments.
They exchanged views on regional and international efforts to safeguard freedom of navigation through the Strait of Hormuz, as well as other issues of mutual interest.
The meeting was attended by Shaikha Al Anood bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Acting Chief of European Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
