Coexistence Milestone Recognised Globally
Achievement underscores Bahrain’s standing as a global model for religious coexistence

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, met with the Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications and Chairman of the King Hamad Global Centre for Coexistence and Tolerance, HE Dr Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, at Gudaibiya Palace.
The Minister presented HRH with Bahrain’s official Guinness World Records certificate, recognising the Kingdom as having the highest density of places of worship for different religions — a historic global first that further cements Bahrain’s reputation as a beacon of religious tolerance and freedom.
HRH reaffirmed Bahrain’s commitment to coexistence, tolerance, and pluralism—values championed by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. He praised Bahrainis’ openness to diverse cultures and beliefs, crediting this spirit with elevating the Kingdom’s global standing.
HRH highlighted the King Hamad Global Centre for Coexistence and Tolerance as instrumental in advancing Bahrain’s model, extending his best wishes for its continued success.
The meeting was also attended by Minister of Finance HE Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa and Minister of Cabinet Affairs HE Hamad bin Faisal Al Maliki.
