Crown Prince’s International Scholarship Program has started the assessment process for 1,360 students applying for scholarships from government and private schools, as well as Bahraini students studying abroad.
In cooperation with the Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance, the programme has begun conducting qualifying tests at the BIBF headquarters to evaluate applicants’ English language proficiency and critical reasoning abilities.
Shatha Ahmed Ali said the assessments include tests measuring English proficiency along with verbal, numerical and diagrammatical reasoning skills through three critical reasoning examinations.
She added that students studying outside Bahrain were provided with supervised testing arrangements in suitable locations abroad.
According to the programme, the next stage will involve selecting at least 80 candidates based on their qualifying test performance and Grade Point Average scores.
The shortlisted students, expected to be announced before the end of June, will participate in training and preparation courses for standardised testing during the summer and throughout the following academic year ahead of the final scholarship selection process in April 2027.
CPISP received a total of 1,423 applications during the submission period between March 1 and 15, 2026.
Applicants were required to be Bahraini nationals, enrolled in Grade 11 or its equivalent with an expected graduation year of 2027, and maintain a GPA of 97 percent or above.
