Bahrain reviews Hajj departure readiness
General Directorate of Ports Security chief Brigadier Ahmed Jassim Al Hutaimi conducted an inspection visit on Wednesday to Bahrain’s land and air entry points to review security and organisational preparations for the departure of Hajj pilgrims.
The visit focused on measures aimed at facilitating smooth travel procedures for pilgrims heading to Saudi Arabia to perform the annual Hajj pilgrimage, while ensuring efficient movement and high standards of safety and security.
During the tour, Al Hutaimi reviewed operational plans and procedures implemented at the ports, praising the efforts of security personnel and relevant authorities involved in managing pilgrim departures.
He commended the continuous work being carried out to accelerate procedures and provide pilgrims with a safe and comfortable travel experience.
Al Hutaimi stressed the importance of continued coordination and co-operation among all entities operating at the ports to ensure the successful execution of security and organisational plans.
He also wished the pilgrims a safe journey and an accepted Hajj.
