Productivity and innovation on Workers’ Day

Shaikh Khalid bin Hamood Al Khalifa, Governor of the Capital Governorate said International Workers’ Day is a “key national milestone” that renews appreciation for labour contributions, stressing that the kingdom’s approach—backed by leadership support—is focused on enhancing skills and expanding opportunities.

He said investment in workforce development is central to boosting economic competitiveness and advancing sustainable growth, noting that workers remain a core pillar in building a diversified, innovation-driven economy.

The remarks came during a visit by the governor to the Ibrahim Khalil Kano Training Centre, where he was received by board member Ibrahim Mohammed Kano. The governor extended greetings to workers on the occasion of International Workers’ Day, praising their efforts and highlighting the role of Bahraini youth across sectors.
