Engineers Power Bahrain’s Development Vision
Deputy Prime Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa said the Bahraini engineer is a key partner in turning national visions into tangible development achievements, as he met the newly elected board of the Bahrain Society of Engineers.
He said engineers play an essential role in supporting the kingdom’s comprehensive development drive under the leadership of HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the directives of HRH Crown Prince and Prime Minister Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
HH Shaikh Khalid highlighted the importance of professional societies as national knowledge hubs and platforms for expertise, stressing government cooperation with the Bahrain Society of Engineers and its technical input in developing key sectors.
The remarks came during a meeting at Gdaibiya Palace with the society’s board, headed by Eng. Abdulnabi Al Sabah, following their election for the 2026–2028 term.
He congratulated the new board, praising the mix of experienced professionals and young talent, as well as the strong representation of Bahraini women in engineering. He also wished them success in serving members’ interests.
The Deputy Prime Minister thanked the outgoing board, led by Dr. Raeda Al Alawi, for its contributions and initiatives.
