MANAMA: HRH Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, on Monday underscored the need for national unity and coordinated efforts to safeguard the kingdom’s stability and advance development, during a meeting with senior legislative officials.
The meeting, held at Gudaibiya Palace, brought together the Speaker of the Council of Representatives, Ahmed bin Salman Al-Musallam, and the Chairman of the Shura Council, Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, along with members of both chambers.
The Crown Prince said Bahrainis have demonstrated a strong commitment to national development and to preserving the country’s stability, highlighting what he described as a deep sense of national belonging and solidarity under the leadership of King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
He praised the contributions of “Team Bahrain” in advancing national goals, noting that royal directives provide a clear roadmap focused on safeguarding security, strengthening social cohesion and reinforcing unity.
The Crown Prince also called for intensified collective efforts to address current challenges, including what he referred to as the repercussions of “hostile Iranian aggression,” while continuing to drive economic growth and prosperity.
He commended the legislative branch for its role in supporting development, stressing the importance of closer cooperation between the executive and legislative authorities to implement national plans and programmes.
Bahrain’s leadership continues to place citizens at the centre of development efforts, he said, emphasising the need for initiatives that retain national talent, stimulate economic activity and create quality job opportunities.
For their part, the legislative leaders expressed appreciation for the Crown Prince’s commitment to strengthening collaboration between the two branches of government to meet public aspirations.
Several senior officials, including Deputy Prime Minister Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa and Interior Minister Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, attended the meeting.
