The United States has reaffirmed its strong defence and security partnership with the Kingdom of Bahrain during a high-level visit by CENTCOM Commander Admiral Brad Cooper.
In a statement, US Ambassador to Bahrain Stephanie Hallett said the visit this week reflected the deep military cooperation between the two countries, built over decades of joint training, integration, preparedness, and shared strategic interests.
She said she was honoured to welcome Admiral Cooper to Bahrain, noting that both sides expressed appreciation for the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, particularly in the face of regional security challenges.
The US ambassador highlighted the close coordination between US forces and the Bahrain Defence Force, stressing that the partnership remains central to protecting Bahrain’s sovereignty and security.
“We are here. We have been here. And we are not going anywhere,” the statement emphasized, underscoring Washington’s long - term commitment to Bahrain. The visit comes as both countries continue to strengthen military cooperation and regional security coordination.
