Chamber leadership reaffirms commitment to economic growth and private sector development

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, affirmed the important role the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry plays in supporting and developing the commercial and industrial sectors, describing it as a key partner in the Kingdom’s economic progress.

This came as His Majesty received the newly formed Board of Directors of the Chamber, headed by Nabil Khalid Kanoo. The King congratulated the members on gaining the confidence of the commercial and industrial sectors, praising the Chamber’s long-standing contribution to Bahrain’s economy since its establishment in 1910.

His Majesty emphasized continued support for the business and economic community to strengthen its role in national development plans, stressing the importance of joint efforts to safeguard national achievements and further enhance the national economy. The King also commended the efforts of the previous Board of Directors, chaired by Sameer Nass, for their contributions to supporting and developing the commercial sector and advancing economic progress.

His Majesty noted that Bahrain had successfully overcome difficult circumstances and challenges, praising the unity of the Bahraini people and their confidence in the leadership and the Bahrain Defence Force. He affirmed that Bahrain will remain a country of security and stability, continuing its development through national cohesion and dedication. He also stated that, God willing, all citizens affected by property damage resulting from the recent Iranian attack on Bahrain and the region will be compensated. The attack reportedly targeted civilians, infrastructure, and public facilities.

For his part , the Chairman of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry expressed gratitude for the King’s continued support , reaffirming the Chamber’s committment to strengthening the private sector’s role in driving economic development in the Kingdom.
