Bahrain Condemns Iranian Attack on UAE Gas Facilities
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemned the recent terrorist attack by Iran targeting the Habshan Gas Facility and Bab Field in the sisterly United Arab Emirates, which was successfully intercepted by the UAE’s air defense systems. The ministry described the attack as a serious escalation threatening regional security and stability, a blatant violation of international law and the principles of good neighborliness, and a breach of United Nations Security Council Resolution 2817.
Bahrain affirmed its full solidarity with the UAE and its complete support for all measures taken to safeguard its sovereignty, security, and stability. The ministry renewed its call to the international community, particularly the UN Security Council, to take firm actions against these hostile and unjustified Iranian attacks to protect regional security, ensure the safety of populations, secure energy infrastructure, and safeguard vital civilian facilities, thereby strengthening regional and international peace and stability.
