Bahrain strongly condemned and denounced the ongoing Iranian attacks directed at civilian targets, residential areas, critical economic and oil facilities, and desalination plants in the Kingdom and in several other Arab countries.
These attacks constitute a flagrant violation of national sovereignty, international law, and international humanitarian law.
They pose a direct threat to the lives of civilians and residents and represent a dangerous escalation that undermines regional and international security and stability.
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs specifically condemned the Iranian attacks targeting populated civilian areas in the Kingdom, including Sitra and the capital, Manama.
Casualties
These attacks have resulted in civilian casualties, including deaths and serious injuries, as well as damage to public and private property, and have spread fear among innocent civilians during the Holy Month of Ramadan.
The Ministry described these acts as unjustifiable and reprehensible crimes that violate the principles of international law, the tolerant teachings of religion, and universally recognized human and moral values.
The Ministry affirmed that the continued use of missiles and drones in these attacks reflects a grave escalation and a clear attempt to destabilise the region, undermine the principles of good neighborliness, and contravene international conventions and established norms of international law.
Allegations
These actions are based on unfounded allegations that Bahrain and Gulf nations have categorically rejected, while consistently advocating dialogue and diplomacy as the only viable path toward sustainable peace and stability.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the Kingdom of Bahrain’s deep appreciation to the member states of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), as well as to every country that extended its solidarity, support, and commitment to the Kingdom’s security and stability.
The Ministry reiterated its call upon the international community, particularly the United Nations Security Council, to take a firm and decisive stance and to adopt immediate measures to halt and deter these attacks and prevent their recurrence.
