Bahrain Intercepts 166 Aerial Threats

The General Command of the Bahrain Defense Force announced that its air defense systems successfully destroyed 74 missiles and 92 drones, as part of the response to an ongoing Iranian terrorist aggression targeting the Kingdom of Bahrain since Saturday, February 28, 2026.

The General Command affirmed that the Bahrain Defense Force will remain the impregnable shield against anything that might compromise the security and stability of the Kingdom or infringe upon its national sovereignty, stressing that all its defense systems are at the highest levels of readiness and constant preparedness to deal immediately and decisively with various threats.

The General Command explained that the use of ballistic missiles and drones to target civilian objects and private property constitutes a flagrant violation of the provisions of international humanitarian law and the Charter of the United Nations, particularly the principles of distinction and proportionality, stressing that these indiscriminate and sinful attacks pose a direct threat to regional peace and security.
