HRH Crown Prince Inspects Markets to Ensure Steady Supply of Essential Goods

 

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain, visited branches of Lulu Hypermarket today to ensure the availability of essential goods and services and to review the stability of supply chains across supermarkets in the Kingdom.

The visit comes as part of the government’s ongoing monitoring of regional developments following hostile attacks launched from Iran. The inspection aligns with the approach of His Majesty Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to safeguard national stability and strengthen the Kingdom’s security under all circumstances.

During the tour, HRH the Crown Prince reviewed the availability of products and emphasized that maintaining market stability and ensuring the smooth flow of imports and distribution remain national priorities. He noted that such measures help strengthen confidence among citizens and residents regarding the uninterrupted availability of essential goods and services.

HRH Prince Salman also highlighted the importance of strong coordination between government entities and the private sector to ensure food security and maintain economic stability.

He commended the role of the private sector in supporting the Kingdom’s comprehensive development and praised the efforts of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce in monitoring markets, strengthening oversight, and coordinating with stakeholders to ensure a steady supply of goods.

HRH the Crown Prince reaffirmed the government’s commitment to taking all necessary precautionary measures to protect supply chains and maintain market stability, reflecting Bahrain’s readiness to confidently address any regional developments.

For his part, His Excellency Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce, stated that the ministry has intensified monitoring and coordination efforts with public and private sector partners to ensure the continued availability and stability of essential goods in the markets.

He added that working teams are closely monitoring stock levels and distribution channels to maintain market stability and protect consumer rights amid current regional developments.

HRH the Crown Prince was accompanied during the visit by His Excellency Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy, and Minister Fakhro.
