Bahrain Destroys 73 Missiles and 91 Drones in Iranian Attack

The Bahrain Defence Force announced that its air defense systems successfully intercepted and destroyed 73 ballistic missiles and 91 drones launched during what it described as a “terrorist Iranian attack” targeting the Kingdom of Bahrain.

According to the military’s General Command, the advanced defense systems operated with high efficiency and succeeded in thwarting the large-scale assault, preventing significant damage. Authorities described the attack as a serious violation of international humanitarian law and the Charter of the United Nations.

The General Command emphasized that the Bahrain Defence Force possesses advanced defense systems, modern military capabilities, and high combat readiness to protect the kingdom’s airspace, territorial waters, and land. It added that all defense units remain on full alert and prepared to respond to any threats against the nation’s security and sovereignty.

Officials stressed that the armed forces will continue to serve as a strong shield safeguarding the stability and security of Bahrain against any acts that threaten the country or its national sovereignty.

The Bahrain Defence Force also urged residents to remain indoors and leave their homes only when absolutely necessary, while exercising maximum caution to ensure their safety. The public was advised to rely solely on official sources for information, avoid filming military operations, refrain from spreading rumors, and stay away from affected areas or attempting to photograph them.

The command further stated that the indiscriminate and excessive use of missiles and drones targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure constitutes a clear breach of international humanitarian principles and UN regulations. Bahrain, it added, reserves its legitimate right to take all necessary measures to defend its sovereignty and national security.
