Parliament Reaffirms Sovereignty as Al Musallam Condemns Iranian Attacks

Condemnation

During the twenty first session of the fourth annual meeting of the sixth legislative term, Parliament reaffirmed Bahrain’s sovereignty and national unity. His Excellency Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives and Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Parliamentary Division, strongly condemned the recent Iranian attacks targeting the Kingdom of Bahrain and several Gulf states.

Addressing members, he described the use of ballistic missiles and drones against Bahraini territory and civilian facilities as a grave violation of international humanitarian law and a direct threat to regional peace and stability. He stressed that Bahrain, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, remains steadfast as a nation built on security, stability and development, with the protection of citizens and residents as its highest priority.

Support

Speaking on behalf of the people of Bahrain, His Excellency affirmed full parliamentary support for all measures taken to safeguard national security and preserve sovereignty, including the Kingdom’s right to respond in coordination with its allies and partners. He commended the close follow up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in directing institutions to implement precautionary measures and reinforce public safety.

He also praised the Bahrain Defence Force for successfully intercepting hostile projectiles, alongside the Ministry of Interior and security agencies for maintaining order and reassurance. Recognition was extended to national teams across ministries for ensuring continuity in food, medical and essential supplies during the tense period.

Unity

His Excellency highlighted the strong public solidarity witnessed across the Kingdom, describing it as a reflection of deep national loyalty and responsible civic awareness. He urged citizens and residents to adhere strictly to official guidance and avoid circulating unverified information.

Concluding his remarks, he called on international parliamentary bodies to denounce the attacks, while reaffirming Bahrain’s enduring commitment to dialogue, peaceful coexistence and regional stability.
