Cyprus expresses solidarity with Bahrain after missile and drone attacks

Manama: Cyprus has expressed its solidarity with the Kingdom of Bahrain following recent missile and drone attacks that targeted the Kingdom.
The Ambassador of Cyprus to Bahrain, Andreas Eliades, said his country stands firmly with Bahrain during what he described as a difficult and challenging period. He characterised the attacks as random and deeply unfortunate.
Ambassador Eliades said that the President of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides, personally conveyed his country’s support during a phone call with His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
According to the ambassador, President Christodoulides stressed that Nicosia stands alongside Bahrain as it confronts the recent attacks.
He also commended the professionalism and efficiency of Bahrain’s security and defence agencies in intercepting the threats and ensuring the safety of citizens and residents.
In addition, Ambassador Eliades expressed Cyprus’ appreciation for the efforts of the Bahrain Defence Force, the Ministry of Interior of Bahrain and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bahrain for their continued cooperation and support in safeguarding the Cypriot community living in Bahrain amid the current circumstances.
