HH Shaikh Isa oversees preparations for HM The King’s Cup Festival

HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Minister of the Prime Minister’s Court and Chairman of the High Committee of the Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club (REHC), reviewed the Club’s preparations for the upcoming His Majesty the King’s Cup Festival, scheduled for 5 and 6 March 2026.

This review took place during the 21st race of the 2025/2026 racing season, which featured cups named after HH Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Personal Representative of His Majesty the King, HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Hamad Al Khalifa, HH Shaikh Sultan bin Hamad Al Khalifa, HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and HH Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Salman Al Khalifa, as well as the Horse Welfare Authority Cup, held at the REHC’s racecourse in Al Raffah, Sakhir.

The event was also attended by HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, HH Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid bin Isa Al Khalifa, Vice President of the Supreme Council for Environment and Deputy Chairman of the REHC High Committee, HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and HH Shaikh Salman bin Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, along with several other esteemed guests.

Winners of the race cups were honoured as HH Shaikh Mohammed presented the Cup for Apprentice Jockeys to the winning trainer, Adel Abdullah. HH Shaikh Ahmed awarded the 5th-round trophy to HH Shaikh Sultan Al Deen bin Mohammed bin Salman Al Khalifa.

Additionally, HH Shaikh Mohammed presented the 1st-round trophy to trainer Adel Abdullah and 2ndround trophy to trainer Paul Smith. HH Shaikh Salman awarded the 6th-round trophy to the winning owner, Abdullah Fawzi Nass. Mr. Yusuf Osama Buheji, a member of the REHC High Committee and Acting Chief Executive Officer, presented the seventh-round trophy to trainer Ali Jan and the 8th-round trophy to owner Abduljalil Salman Hasan.

Mr. Yousif Al Essa, CEO of the Horse Welfare Authority, presented the 4th-round trophy to winning owner Hasan Mefrih Al Ajmi.
