Public Fasting Violations May Lead to Jail or BD100 Fine

The Public Prosecution in the Kingdom of Bahrain has reiterated that publicly breaking the fast during the holy month of Ramadan is a punishable offence under the law.

According to authorities, individuals found violating public fasting regulations may face imprisonment for a period of up to one year, a fine of up to BD100, or both penalties depending on the circumstances of the case.

The Public Prosecution emphasized that these measures aim to uphold public order and respect for the sanctity of Ramadan in the Kingdom. Authorities urged residents and visitors to adhere to the laws and traditions observed during the holy month.
