France Train Derailment Injures 44, One Critically

Rouen: A passenger train carrying 186 people derailed in northwestern France on Friday, injuring 44 passengers, including an 18-year-old woman who was airlifted to hospital in critical condition.
The train was travelling from Rouen to Caen when it derailed at about 7:45pm. Emergency services deployed 130 firefighters, five medical teams and 80 vehicles.
Rail traffic was suspended and power to the tracks was cut as rescue teams worked at the scene. The driver tested negative for drugs and alcohol.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the derailment.
