Arab Parliament condemns terror cell in Bahrain
The Arab Parliament approved today in its meeting at the Arab League headquarters in Cairo a proposal by the Foreign, Political and National Security Affairs Committee on condemnation of the terror cell in Bahrain, attempts to interfere in the kingdom's internal affairs and threatening its security and stability.
The parliament stressed Bahrain's legitimate right to confront those attempts through legal and political means in light of a proposal submitted by Shura Council member Abdulrahman Mohammed Jamshir, the member of the parliamentary committee taking part in the meeting.
Jamshir pointed out that the Foreign, Political and National Security Affairs Committee discussed at a meeting held prior to the Arab Parliament session approving a draft statement on the security situation in the Arab countries while emphasising the Syrian people's right to retrieve the Golan from Israel. He added that the meeting also brought under the spotlight other issues including cooperation with the Arab League, amending its charter and the role of the Arab Parliament in tackling various issues.
