Bahrain at Davos: Driving Innovation and Entrepreneurship

Representing His Majesty King King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Minister of the Prime Minister’s Court, is heading the Kingdom of Bahrain’s high-level delegation to the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2026 in Davos.

As part of the forum’s activities, and in the presence of Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy, took part in a high-level panel discussion titled “A New Dawn for Entrepreneurship”, alongside a distinguished group of global leaders and decision-makers from the government, finance, and technology sectors.

During the session, the Minister of Finance and National Economy affirmed that the Kingdom of Bahrain, under the leadership of His Majesty the King and the guidance of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, continues to advance policies and legislation that support entrepreneurship, innovation, and digital transformation. These efforts include embracing emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, with the aim of driving inclusive and sustainable economic growth.

He highlighted that entrepreneurship has become a key driver and a strategic pillar of economic, strategic, and geopolitical transformation, contributing to attracting investments and enhancing national competitiveness. He also noted that the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries benefit from advanced digital infrastructure and diverse policy frameworks, enabling them to adopt technological programs and initiatives that support economic diversification and strengthen their position on the global economic map.
