Bahrain Eyes Space and Geodata Leadership at Global Symposium
Manama: Dr. Mohammed Ibrahim Al-Asiri, CEO of the Bahrain Space Agency, took part in an international symposium on maximizing geospatial data, organized by the US Geospatial Information Users Association and consulting firm Wolbert. Experts discussed how satellite and LiDAR data can be transformed into smart products that aid decision-making in urban planning, infrastructure, environmental monitoring, and other key sectors.
Dr. Al-Asiri stressed the role of these technologies in turning space data into actionable insights for strategic planning and national development. He highlighted Bahrain’s commitment to advanced geospatial applications, international partnerships, and positioning the Kingdom as a regional hub for space and geodata innovation.
