Bahrain Red Crescent Meets Cambodian Ambassador to Strengthen Humanitarian Cooperation

Mubarak Al-Hadi, Secretary-General of the Bahrain Red Crescent Society, met today at the society’s headquarters with His Excellency Sman Manan, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Cambodia to Bahrain, who is based in Kuwait. The meeting was also attended by the ambassador’s assistant, Matley Sles. The visit aimed to enhance humanitarian and relief cooperation between the Bahrain Red Crescent and the Cambodian Red Cross.

During the meeting, both sides discussed collaboration in areas of relief work, volunteerism, and building partnerships that serve humanitarian goals, support effective disaster response, and promote the values of giving and solidarity.

The Cambodian ambassador was briefed on the history of the Bahrain Red Crescent and its leading role in international humanitarian efforts. He praised the society’s outstanding work in aiding those affected by disasters and expressed his country’s interest in strengthening its partnership with Bahrain, benefiting from its extensive experience. He emphasized that this collaboration would be a valuable addition to joint humanitarian efforts between Bahrain and Cambodia.

Al-Hadi highlighted the importance of the visit in opening new avenues for international relief work. He noted that coordination with the Cambodian Red Cross aims to exchange innovative solutions to contemporary humanitarian challenges. He also emphasized the society’s commitment to building cooperation with national societies worldwide to enhance volunteer efficiency and reinforce Bahrain’s positive role in serving humanity and supporting vulnerable communities globally.
